CERN’s mission calls for a highly qualified and motivated workforce whose knowledge and skills are continuously developed to meet the evolving needs of the Organization and whose technical and behavioural competencies match the requirements of their functions. CERN is committed to the continuous development of all its employed members of the personnel (hereafter MPEs) through a systematic and sustained learning culture that enables them to fulfil their professional potential within a dynamic and challenging work environment. Some elements of the policy described in this document may apply to other personnel categories (MPAs) and, in some cases, to industrial support staff.
