The Cité Scolaire Internationale - Sites de Ferney-Voltaire et Saint-Genis-Pouilly is a state school. Schooling is free, with the exception of the "national" non-French curricula, for which a financial contribution is required.
The school takes pupils from the 6th grade (first year of lower secondary school, age 11-12) to the "terminale" (final year of upper secondary school) and prepares them for the French baccalaureate, the international option baccalaureate (BOI), the Cambridge English first certificate and Advanced certificate in English, the German KMK diploma or the Spanish D.E.L.E diploma. For more information on the structure and admission:
There are no international primary schools in the Pays de Gex. However, from level CP onwards, children may attend weekly Tuesday-afternoon classes (CP, CE1 and CE2) and weekly Friday-afternoon classes (CM1 and CM2) in their mother tongue at the Cité Scolaire Internationale - Sites de Ferney-Voltaire et Saint-Genis-Pouilly (Dutch, English, Italian and Spanish) and at the Collège du Joran in Prevessin (German).
Children must be enrolled with the head teacher's office of the child's school directly.
